An expert spine specialist, Dr. Paraiso who sees patients from Leesburg, Florida has accomplished numerous honors during his career. These achievements include addressing public and global Orthopedic Conferences, including the Annual Florida Orthopedic Society Meeting and the Annual International Spine Research and Innovation meeting in Seville, Spain. His talks have focused on “Non-Fusion Spine Reconstruction” and “Careful Treatment of Adult Spinal Degeneration”. Extra distinctions include co-writing a section in the distributed spine medical procedure reading material, Dynamic Reconstruction of the Spine, he was also selected as the Chief Resident of the Orthopedic Surgery Service at Genesys Regional Medical Center/Michigan State University.

Dr. Paraiso is an alumni of the University of Florida with a B.A. in Religion and a B.S. in Zoology. In 1999, Dr. Paraiso received his practitioner training from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and afterward trained for five years in Grand Blanc, Michigan, where he completed his orthopedic residency at Genesys Regional Medical Center/Michigan State University. After residency, Dr. Paraiso furthered his spinal surgery training, completing a fellowships at Tampa General Hospital and with the broadly acclaimed Florida Orthopedic Institute in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Paraiso has been treating patients in Florida since 2004 and focuses on Minimally Invasive Techniques or spinal nerve decompression, Adult scoliosis, Adult cervical and lumbar spinal degeneration, and other less invasive spinal procedures. Patients from Leesburg, Florida travel to see Dr. Paraiso consistently in his Ocala office. His research interests include learning about the latest minimally invasive techniques, surgical innovations to different spinal degenerative diseases and more. When Dr. Paraiso isn’t treating patients from Leesburg, he enjoys being with his family, fishing, hitting the fairway and water sports.
