Considered by many to be one of the best spine surgeons in Central Florida, Dr. Paraiso who regularly treats neck and back pain patients from Lady Lake, Florida has received countless awards and honors. Dr. Paraiso has lectured at both national and global Orthopedic Conferences. Some of these include the Annual Florida Orthopedic Society Meeting also the Annual International Spine Research and Innovation meeting which is located in Seville, Spain. Dr. Paraiso’s has lectured on “Non-Fusion Spine Reconstruction” and “Surgical Treatment of Adult Spinal Degeneration”. Dr. Paraiso co-authored a chapter in the published spine surgery textbook, Dynamic Reconstruction of the Spine. He had the distinguished honor of being selected Chief Resident of the Orthopaedic Surgery Service at Genesys Regional Medical Center in collaboration with Michigan State University.
Dr. Paraiso graduated from the highly recognized University of Florida with a Bachelors of Arts in Religion and a Bachelors of Science in Zoology. In 1999, Dr. Paraiso received his medical degree from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He spent five years furthering his medical training in Grand Blanc, Michigan, where he finished his orthopedic surgery residency and internship at Genesys Regional Medical Center in collaboration with Michigan State University. After he completed his residency program, Dr. Paraiso obtained additional critical spinal surgery training, completing a one year fellowship in Spine at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, Florida. He trained and mastered his spine skillset under the widely acclaimed Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Paraiso has now practiced in Florida since for over 16 years and specializes in areas such as Minimal Spine Access or “Minimally Invasive” decompression of spinal nerves and back fusion, adult scoliosis, both cervical and lumbar degenerative spine, non-fusion spinal reconstruction and replacement of lumbar discs. Patients based in Lady Lake, Florida travel to see Dr. Paraiso usually in his Ocala office or office in the Villages. Dr. Paraiso enjoys research on the latest minimally invasive techniques to the latest treatment methods for various spinal degenerative disorders. When Dr. Paraiso is not seeing patients from Lady Lake, he loves being with his family, and enjoying water sports, fishing, and golf.
